I’ve been to Diva Coffee a number of times before work and have always enjoyed the coffee, the atmosphere, and the value for money. The coffee is genuinely lovely, which makes this review disappointing to write.
This morning, however, I had a frustrating experience. I arrived about 10 minutes before 8am, thinking that would be plenty of time to grab a takeaway coffee before starting work nearby. There were only a few customers in the shop, with one customer being served when I joined the queue.
Unfortunately, the staff member behind the counter appeared more focused on having a conversation with that customer than serving the next person waiting. I stood there for several minutes without even being acknowledged. The conversation continued while coffees were being made, and service was extremely slow. By 7:57am, I had no choice but to leave without ordering because I needed to be at work for 8am.
I completely understand the importance of being friendly and building relationships with customers, but during the morning rush, acknowledging waiting customers and providing efficient service is equally important. A simple “I’ll be with you in a moment” would have gone a long way.
I’ll still return because the coffee is great, but I hope management takes this feedback on board, as it wasn’t a professional experience this morning.

We pride ourselves on our customer service end the relationships built with our community but this should never come at the cost of our service speed.
